Natanel Elfassy [b.1979 in Israel] is an architect and researcher whose works attempts to establish a new interrelationship between contemporary architectural practice and theory and contemporary philosophy.

Natanel is a graduate of the Tel Aviv University School of Architecture, where he developed extensive experience in parametric modeling and other controlled manufacturing techniques. Currently based at Tel Aviv University where he is a “David Azrieli” research fellow in the Department of Philosophy.

His research, [Topo] Philosophy & Stuttering Architecture [H.Kennan, E.Nueman, supervisors] focuses on critical philosophical inquiry surrounding contemporary forms of space and new configurations of spatial practice toward a design that operates through research and experimentation, fo¬cusing on technological and poetical concepts in contemporary architecture.

Transcending disciplinary and professional boundaries His work has recently been displayed in Le Laboratoire, Paris, France; Köln University, Germany; NAi Netherlands Architecture Institute, Rotterdam, Netherlands; MAK Center for Art & Architecture, Los Angeles, CA, USA; Do¬mus Academy in Milano and Genova,Italy; ZeZeZe Gallery Tel Aviv, Israel; and in design magazines such as LOG, Substance, Haaretz and more.

Natanel has won multiple awards for his work including the AICF Award of Excellence. Additionally he has gained design experience collaborating with R&Sie(n) Architects, Paris, Zarhy Architects and Keinan Architects, Israel.
